President Donald Trump is taking a page from House Speaker Ryan’s playbook in his feud with Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI).
Trump said Sunday that he’s “not going to explode” into a confrontation with Ryan, who is the most senior House Republican.
The president told Fox News Sunday that “there’s no reason for that.”
Instead, Trump said, “I’m going to let Paul Ryan do his job, and I’m going take care of the job.”
Trump has been publicly feuding with Ryan since the House voted last month to repeal and replace ObamaCare.
Trump tweeted that Ryan should be ashamed of himself and that he would “go to war with him in order to stop the bleeding of Americans.”
Ryan has said the vote was a mistake and called Trump a “puppet” and “a liar.”
